Story Time

I've had a busy week, so I wasn't on the computer all that much.  Oh well.  I'll have more time someday.

On a more positive note, here are some sketches from old children's stories I've read.  I love fairy tales.  I've flipped through various books to see the illustrations.  I love what illustrators can do with pen and ink, or how they can utilize watercolors.

The poor Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, being terrorized by some crows.  This is the first illustration I started having to do with a story for children.  I can't believe I was able to draw those birds.
The Tin Woodsman from the Wizard of Oz.  Usually I'm not sure what colors I will use when I start to add more detail to my drawings, but this one seems pretty easy.  It's going to be fun playing around with all the browns and greens of the forest.
The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.  As you can see, he is very obsessed with time.
This one here is my favorite.  I'd planned on using only pen and black ink, and maybe using it as one of the first inside illustrations of the story.  It will be done, eventually.  I keep going back to it.
